Question:

How do I make an OMF output of  a sequence cut with groups clip without all the other cameras showing up?

Answer:

To make an OMF you need to do a few easy steps.

If you are on version 3.5.x and below follow steps 1-4. If you are on version 4.x and above skip right to step 3.

    • 1. open the console
    • 2. type "enablecommitmulticam" then press enter.  (without the quotation marks)
    • 3. Right click on your edited sequence in the bin.
    • 4. Select commit multicam edits from the menu.

A copy of your sequence will be made with a ".NoGroups.Copy.01" appended to the end.

You can now do your OMF like you would normally do, but this time without all the extra media that is not associated with the selected clips in the sequence.
